Welcome to the latest edition of The Spin newsletter from the award-winning independent
feminist press. September was a busy month for all of us at Spinifex. Our 'That's Radical Feminism' conference was a great success. Held at the Lithuanian Club, North Melbourne and attended by a large and enthusiastic crowd, the two day event was a celebration of 25 years of feminist publishing made possible by two wonderful publishers and authors, Renate Klein and Susan Hawthorne.

On a more serious note:
Olivera Simić author of Surviving Peace: A Political Memoir spoke about her life experience surviving peace and war.
Friday evening entertainment was hosted by the wonderful comedian Sue Ingleton and aided by the magical music of Kavisha Mazzella and Rachel Morgan and the Dyke Divas.
And every radical feminist event inspires us to write a manifesto.
Susan Hawthorne bringing together the important issues for a radical feminist future.

She is one of the witnesses from across the globe who has been called because they have suffered human rights abuses, threats to their communities and destruction of their environment.
