Last week
Fish-Hair Woman by
Merlinda Bobis was launched in Adelaide and Melbourne. At both launches audiences were treated to a mesmerisng and emotional reading by author Merlinda Bobis. Merlinda channelled her characters seamlessly, in one moment we were seeing and hearing the family matriach, Mamay Dulce and the next, the loyal and wise Pay Inyo. We travelled to the Philippines, to the village of Iraya and while there, heard the river sing. There's still the one more launch to go and if you're lucky enough to be in Canberra next week head to the Manuka Paperchain Bookstore, it'll certainly be a night to remember.
