Biography
Sandi Hall

Sandi Hall is a novelist and playwright. She is the author of three works of speculative fiction, The Godmothers (1982), Wingwomen of Hera (1987), and Rumours of Dreams (1999) and three plays, Just Passing Through, Change of Heart and Death Duties. She has also published short stories.

Her life is not solely centred on writing, however. Since the mid-1970s, she has actively promoted the rights of women. Included in that activity has been the formation of, and candidacy in, the New Zealand Women’s Political Party; and organising seminars with titles like How To Be A Feminist Without Going Mad.

Born in Cornwall, England and raised on the Canadian Prairies, Sandi has led quite a peripatetic life, living in Zambia, Mexico, California, Australia and New Zealand. At present, she lives near Wellington.

For income, she has worked in radio, marketing, and television research. As she likes to travel, she has also been a nanny in Hawaii, taught English in Mexico, and written advertising in Zambia. She lives in Wellington, New Zealand, with two friends and a cat named Milo.
